Lesson Objective: Students will review their understanding of figurative language, while practicing and applying the concepts to their own life. Students will create an Ebook that describes themselves using figurative language. For example, my eyes are as blue as the ocean water. Students will take notes from the teacher's Ebook, then create their own synthesizing their understanding of figurative language.

Learning Activities:
- Students will review the teacher's Ebook (file uploaded above).
- While they review the book, students will take notes on the definitions of figurative language and jot down ideas for their own books.
- Students will brainstorm ideas for their own Ebook that will describe themselves. They will consider their physical and emotional traits, then share ideas with peers and give/receive feedback.
- Teacher will demonstrate instructions for creating their own Ebook using Storybird online creator. The teacher can create a class and add the students to an online account.
- When students have successfully brainstormed their ideas and passed off their ideas, they will create their Ebook.
- Students will share out their Ebooks with the class and become published authors! (**Optional, teachers can pop popcorn and make it a Book Showing to emphasize the students feelings of being a published author and boost engagement).
